Dr Yi Wei Goh

MBChB, FRANZCO, PGDipOphthBS

Dr Yi Wei Goh is an ophthalmologist who subspecialises in cataract, cornea and anterior segment, and oculoplastics. She completed her medical degree at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and her ophthalmology specialist training in New Zealand.

Dr Goh pursued fellowships in cornea and anterior segment, and in oculoplastics, in Manchester, United Kingdom and in Auckland, New Zealand.

Personal life

Before medicine, Dr Goh represented her country in rhythmic gymnastics, winning more than 100 medals over a seven-year career — including four golds at the 2001 Southeast Asian Games, one of them for the highest individual score. She previously competed in Taekwondo, taking gold in her division at both the New Zealand Regional and National Championships in 2022. Outside work, she values spending quality time with her family.
